Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed yellow-straw color with a two finger head of white foam. The head very slowly over time leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a yeasty and doughy with a decent showing of some spice of coriander and clove. Along with these aromas comes hay and a touch of funk. Other light aromas of melon and grape are mixed within, rounding out the aroma to produce a rather interesting smell overall.
Taste – The taste starts out with a light grape flavor mixed with some cracker malt and yeast. Along with these flavors comes a touch of pear and some light berry tastes. The grape gets a bit stronger and is joined by some light spice of coriander. Other tastes of hay and pepper develop more toward the end, and with a touch of lemongrass, it leaves one with a slightly more crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light with a carbonation level that is high. For the crisp nature and tastes the feel is good and makes for a nice, easy drinker.
Overall – A rather good brew overall. Very easy drinking.

12 oz bottle, poured into a teku at ~40 degrees F.

L: Pours a cloudy, opaque straw-honey gold. Forms a couple fingers of dense white foam with great retention.

S: Sharply mineral and saline, with light spices and ripe grains.

T: Grainy malts hit up front, with some coriander and cracked pepper spiciness and a noticeable salinity. Some white grape and faint melon as it moves along. The finish lingers on as salt, spice, and grain.

F: Medium bodied, with lively carbonation.

O: This was labeled as a grisette, so that's what I am rating it as. Rather enjoyable.

looks good, smells pleasant, tastes full, then falls flat with a watery mouthfeel.
fairly uncomplicated saison that feels like it wants to hit certain complexities but then gets muted by an underwhelming mouthfeel presence that leaves it feeling like a Blue Moon version of a saison.
if that's your bag then go for it!
