Tap hit at the brewery in Dania Beach, FL. Arrived cold and flat. I let it sit while enjoying other offerings.
Aroma of dark stone fruit, way dark malt, coffee.
Tastes like that too, but so many nuances pop out; the barreling char is pronounced and loud., dark chocolate.,. killer alcohol bite on the face., long sticky finish that required a drink of water.,
Feel is thick, very little carbonation.
Overall, a most decadent barrel aged treat that is chewy, sweet, wonderful. Great effort.,.

2022 release; consumed on 10/5/2022
Pours an immensely viscous and sludgy jet-brown body, carrying no sense of foam or effervescence whatsoever; the minutiae of collar vaguely present matches the equally elusive speckling of lacing quickly fading from the walls of the glass, a syrupy gloss coating when swirled.
Aromas of melted chocolate chips are tempered with rye spice and an evolving dark fruit overlay; nutty caramels meld into boozy bourbon heat on the back end, leaving residual vanillins lingering through the close.
Taste brings melted dark chocolate leaning toward distant impressions of chocolate lava cake, persistently accented with dark fruit saturation through the mid-palate into caramel nougat on the back end; charry bourbon-imbued oak lingers across the profile, impressing hints of toasted almonds as the finish peaks.
Mouthfeel is full, with an almost sickly dense body and no carbonation, producing flatness elevated slightly by creamy textures and a rounded warmth past the mid-palate as a smooth, prickly heat meanders toward the finish.
Unnervingly flat yet contrastingly laden with sweet and charry malt decadence; muted textures do little to hinder brazen barrels from maintaining the near-pastry levels of saturation throughout.
