Appearance: Clear yellow, lasting rocky head with good lacing.
Aroma/Flavor: Fairly intense hop aroma up front, lemon and tropical fruit. Saison yeast ester is present in the background as peppery with a hint of bubblegum. On the palate its more of the same, but much more balanced between the yeast/hops.
Mouthfeel: Very dry, effervescent carbonation, just a touch grassy on the finish.

Orpheus Description: "Saison Erato, we dry hopped a saison with some cool new hops, Lemon Drop and Huell Melon. It actually tastes like lemon drops and melon, along with a bit of lime zest."
The beer is extremely dry, and bit too hopped to my tastes for a saison. That said, paired with the right food it could be quite good and help to balance out the hops. I'm not sure that I agree on the lemon drops. Regardless, Orpheus is doing great things and I'll continue to try new things as they bring them to the Atlanta market.
