Poured out of a 12 oz. bottle into my pokal glass, this beer pours a clear, light golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles rapidly and continuously rising to the beer’s surface and a head that's about 1/3 of an inch thick when first poured that eventually settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small cluster swirls of surface foam and decent lacing. Aromas of some grainy, bready, just slightly zesty malts along w/ some fruity hop notes. A very similar flavor profile, with some grainy, bready malts w/ a bit of sweetness and some slight zest. Some melon and cantaloupe notes from the hops along w/ a definite citrus note to round this out. Not much, if any, bitterness to speak of. A simple, straight forward, to the point flavor profile that's well balanced and that works very well here. Has a crisp, also smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and a nice aftertaste. A refreshing beer on this warm summer night here in Cleveland, OH.

This one needs to become a regular thing for Sam Adams.
Full disclosure I'm an unabashed Sam Adams fan boy as they truly understand good beer.
This one upon first taste took me back to Bavaria. Not the fest halls of Oktoberfest or the long Friday nights of hefeweisse but to the lazy Saturdays I would stroll through ancient markplatzs and stop in for a light lunch and pils. Always a nice light pils, not to heavy or thick so as to enjoy the flavors of my lunch.
This one, lawn chair lager, is just that a classic bavarian pils. Not a head busting IPA or a thick and strong dunkel or bock but an easy drinking go with anything accompaniment to a fine light meal.
Overall, a fine companion to the two greatest accomplishments of Sam Adams to date Boston Lager and Oktoberfest.

This beer is certainly not one of Sam Adam's best efforts. I thought the taste was totally lacking in any kind of character. Drinking it I had the thought "it was just there."

A - Bright light to medium gold color with a ton of vibrant, sprightly carbonation and a healthy layer of dense white foam resting on top.
S - Cereal grain base with crisp resiny citrus over top.
T - Follows the nose with a cereal grain-like base with light citrus over the top and some melon.
M - Medium body with soft carbonation on the palate.
O - Crisp, refreshing, and easy drinking with a delicate lingering citrus and melon over top of the light malt base. Don't love it, don't hate iot - but it's hitting the spot right now.

I got a bottle of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had a subtle grain and white white flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle grain, white grape and booze. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Part of a variety 24-pack Costco $27.99
3 months before month date on can
Smells lightly of malts
Clear light golden color
Light-medium mouthfeel
Medium-high carbonation
Tastes of light malts
Overall just ok. Slightly better than a macro brew, but not worth the extra cost so I would pass on this.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden-yellow color with a good-sized, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of cereal malt, toasted bread and caramel. Sweet caramel, bread and toffee taste with a mild bitterness.

Between the Beach Session IPA, Porch Rocker, and now the Lawn Chair Lager, Sam plans to brew a beer for all your possible summer destinations. Next we'll see a Grillmaster's Grisette or Bonfire Blonde.
It pours a crystal clear gold and smells and taste like, well, an American lager. Cereal front and center with no hop character and slight sweet malt. There is a very mild bit of citrus that may have leapt in from a nearby Summer Ale. Its body is pretty light with moderate carbonation. It says refreshing and bright on the label, and that is accurate. I could picture myself enjoying one while [insert contextual summer activity]. Leisure Suit Larry doesn't bring a whole lot to the table, but it also doesn't do anything wrong.
