Reviewing this beer from memory. My fifty fourth brew reviewed from these guys. Like most beers from Boston Beer Company, also known as Sam Adams, this is just ok.

650 ml bottle, from Costco, Sacramento, ABV is 7.5%. This braggot appears to be more of a beer than a mead. Golden colour, small white head. Brewed with clover honey, orangeblossom honey and chamomile, with alfalfa honey added (probably after fermentation). Sweetish aroma of honey, orange blossom and chamomile, some alcohol. Fairly sweet flavour, but still rather light bodied for its strength. Honey and chamomile notes. A slight alcohol sting. Very moderate hops. Well worth sampling, but not really my cup of tea.

Aroma is honey, grass...very light. Look is golden yellow. Medium white head. Taste is equal barley/hops, with a sweet honey finish. Sweetness leaves the palate a little sticky, but Very refreshing. Would recommend fall instead of summer.
Not very complex, but tasty.

Poured out of the bottle and into my tulip glass, this beer pours a fairly clear, slightly hazy, medium golden color with a nice white head about 2/3 of an inch thick when first poured that settles to a medium sized white ring lining the inside of the glass along with a big cluster swirl of foam on the beer's surface and some decent lacing. Aromas of floral spice and herb notes and some honey are certainly present along with yeasty esters and a slight hop presence. The taste is pretty much the same, with floral notes of chamomile, bits of tangerine and orange as well as honey, slightly toasted caramel malt sweetness, honey, a hint of peppercorn, and just a slight touch of hops. Has a fairly crisp, slightly prickly, smooth, slightly creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Has a clean, boozy finish that leaves a slightly dry after taste/ This is just a bit to one dimensional for me.
