On tap at Stoneyard Beer Hall and Grill in Rochester, NY.
This one pours an absolutely gross murky and opaque brown- doesn't look like a porter at all. There's a small head and a bit of lacing.
Luckily, it smells great- it's very roasty and toasty, with chocolate milk, herbal hops, and a little bit of smoke.
It also tastes great- this is super surprising, as it looks like liquid mud. There's a really killer chocolate flavor, with some light smoke, and a bit of piney/herbal hop flavor.
This is creamy, with a slight lingering bitterness, and a good level of carbonation.
I have to dock some serious points for bitterness, but this is still enjoyable.
