a nice little saison here, hoppier than most, which gives is a lot of its character, especially in the absence of anything too cool happening with the yeast at all. it tastes to me like a classic french strain, a little bit of tannins in here, some white wine notes from it, those spicy clean esters too, agreeable, but weve all been down this road a million times. the light wheat mash is nice, fluffy and softly hazy and almost creamy on my palate, a perfect texture for something like this. the hops are citrusy and clean as well, bright and fresh and a little bitter, but with some grapefruit and pineapple happening, and not just in the finish but there the whole way, nice against the simple yeast and the earthy dry grain base. its fruity and it pops with carbonation, dries out at the end, and really is a well put together brew, something i could happily make an afternoon out of drinking in the summer, and one of the better beers we had in here. they had some cool stuff that made me feel like warmer weather drinking, and this is definitely one of them. tasty and well made, clean and simple.
