L-The beer pours clear and golden with a 2 finger bone white head. Lacing is minimal and the head recedes at a decent rate.
S- The nose is light overall with elements of light yeasty funk and an herbal flowery quality which is likely the elderflower.
T- The flowery herbal quality in the nose is the first thing that hits on the palate. Beneath that there are the normal yeasty farm funk flavors of the base saison. At the back end the elderflower rears up again and gives the saison a dry lemony herbal finish.
F- The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, and the carbonation after the initial pour is almost non-existent. The lack of carb really allows the beer to coat the palate. Consequently the elderflower in the finish really drys out the beer on its backend giving it a pleasing finish.
O-The incorporation of the elderflower is well done and gives this beer a very distinctive flavor profile. If you like Elderflower you will like this beer. If you don't like elderflower you would be wise to try a different saison to appease your thirst.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy to glossy semi-burnt yellow color with a moderately finger-ed white foamy head. It leaves some light lacing roaming around the glass. The smell starts off with subtle crisp sweet floral notes roaming into light sweet breadiness and even lighter Belgian spices. The taste takes those previously mentioned flavors and ends up allowing more of a pronounced sweet lemon being in the foreground of the citrus fruits. There’s a semi-dry sweet aftertaste running into the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs pretty light and the dryness of the floral qualities hit my tongue. Overall, I like the concept and think Simple Roots did what they wanted to with this one. I’d have again.

Pours a clear golden hay color with a tall billowy white head, with decent retention and lacing. The nose is very floral, Belgian year, bready malt. The taste also has a strong floral component, soft and smooth, nice Belgian yeast profile, some white grapes and sweet bready grains. On the palate, it is smooth, round and light-ish with nice carbonation. A pleasing brew, floral, soft but a bit to much residual sweetness.
