My fourth beer review from Boise Brewing; although I had visited the brewery before and quaffed on a few beers there without reviewing and prying the cap off, a slight hiss emitted. I used a Belcher glass and served the beer at 42 degrees. The pour created a frothy, foamy, three-fingered, bright white head with above-average retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The beer's color is a pale yellow straw with light golden hues, charting at SRM 2. The overall appearance of the beer is exceptional. I hardly give fives, but this category deserves it. The head retention is beautiful and has a near-perfect appearance for a lager.
Nosing the glass, I smell light corn sweetness, grassy, lightly toasted malts, crackers, light malty sweetness, and light earthiness. The hops are subtle, with a faint note of floral and resin.
I tasted the hops, a light grassy, resin, light pine, citrus, floral bouquet, and some earthiness. The malt profile is crackery, with a lightly toasted bread crust, corn, and malty sweetness.
The mouthfeel is clean and finishes crisp. The body is light and has medium-plus carbonation.
Final Thought: I enjoyed this beer a lot more than I expected. The Temps soared here in Idaho, and this was a perfect quencher for a tired, sun-soaked construction worker. Tasty beer!

i believe this is new in cans, first i am seeing of it now anyway, and its nice, easygoing, a fine almost neutral summery beer not trying too hard to be some kind of classic pils type or a mexican lager with limes and all that, those are getting a bit tiring, this is pretty straight ahead, crisp without being insanely dry or anything, light but still flavorful, crafty enough, good name. it is in fact a mexican lager, so assuming it has some corn in it, but its neither sweet from it or weirdly cheap tasting, its clean and simple, and not fruited or anything. unlike the very best beers in this space for my money though, the lager aspect is a nonfactor, low in flavor and without a lot of personality, so this almost hits like a blonde ale, without being quite as generic as most of those. light in body but not thin, high refreshment capacity, still enough grain presence for it to not be confused for an import, im sure it could take a lime wedge just fine too if thats how you take it. good carbonation, smooth in a way i rarely notice or think about in this style, and with a summery vibe to it for sure, not positive how well this would warm up, but ice frosty cold its a nice crusher and i think overall a strong addition to their packaged lineup, no frills and well composed, beer flavored beer.

Taster at Mountains Brew Fest. Clear golden pour, small foamy white head. Malty, biscuity aroma, corn, sweetness. Taste is a nice clean, grainy with a sweet palate. Very tasty.
