While I didn't find this beer completely poisonous, this was the one beer I tried from Alvarado that I would call a fail. The Jalapeno chili was so intense, on both the nose and the palate, that it completely obliterates every other aspect of the base beer. Also, the heat on the palate was so intense it was ridiculous. All I noticed was jalapeno flavor and heat. Even a small taster glass was more than I could have handled.

Smells of grilled jalapeños and onions. EXTREMELY hot, can't even tell what the base beer is, let alone the style. All you taste is heat. Hot hot hot jalapeños.
