This Pilsner is all about the delicate balance of soft European malt and floral, spicy notes from classic Noble hops used, which include Czech Saaz and German Tettnang. Our house lager strain adds a pleasant minerality, and attenuates fully for a crisp, clean and dry finish. Basically, we brewed this beer selfishly so we could have a hoppy pils to drink. Super refreshing, tons of flavor, sessionable for any occasion.

Pours a lightly hazy golden. I initially got fruit snacks on the nose, but getting a little more cracker as we go along. It's cracker to go along with a floral bouquet. It's a little lacking in body, it's quite lightweight. At 5.1%, this feels like a 3.1% beer. It's a crusher. The flavors could be there, but the lack of body is really what pulls this down for me.

Can from Lúpulo.
Golden clear. Fluffy white head for days with lace.
Smells like wheat and mild bittering hops.
Tastes like a classic clean German pils. Little bit of a piney bitter bite. Honey and bread.
Light medium mouthfeel.
Overall: not mind boggling, but a solid Pilsner. Hotter weather definitely makes it much more appealing.

On tap at Alvarado Street Salinas

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spot lacing.

S: Yeasty, herbal, floral, spicy, a hint of citrus zest, and crackery malt

T: Spicy herbal notes, grassy, citrus zest, lemon and lime, floral, a little yeasty, and some crackery malt.

M: Light to medium body, lively carbonation. Dry as a bone on the finish.

O: Hits the spot after a day hiking in Pinnacles.

Pours a thin gold color. Light toasted malt aroma, faint hints of biscuit malt. Pleasantly hoppy, with an approachable grassiness. Crisp and easy drinking.

Pours a clear light yellow with fine, soapy head and big, fat bubbles.

Smell is malty and bready with some florl notes. Pretty clean, but a bit subdued.

Taste is clean and bready. Floral hops and a nice, level bitterness and just a hint of chamomille.

Mouthfeel is medium and soft, well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice new school pilsner.

In the glass: light, almost opaque champagne yellow. Plenty of carbonation bubbles popping up until beer settles.
On the nose: nice standard Pilsner two-row aroma, floral
Taste: malt profile, not much “straw”, but nice earthy ness to the flavor the minerality they referred with the house lager yeast is there. Noble hops add that spiciness. It’s definitely a solid approach to German-style Pilsner. I like traditional, dont get me wrong. But I enjoy new takes on traditional beers—especially one of my favorite styles.
Mouthfeel: crisp, bubbly, refreshing
Overall: nice Pilsner, would definitely try again. I’d like to go visit the brewery sometime. Also, I like the cans, very simple graphics but always enjoy seeing what ingredients go into a beer!
