On-tap at Alvarado Street Brewery, Monterey, CA
A: The beer is hazy yellow in color—it appears orange when viewed from afar—and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with just a thin white collar around the edge of the glass that eventually completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of fresh cilantro are present in the nose along with notes of spicy chipotle peppers.
T: The taste starts off tasting like salsa with flavors of limes and cilantro and finishes with some spicy chipotles. Some hints of gooseberries are also noticeable.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate. The chipotle peppers lend a little heat, particularly in the finish.
O: This is a nice Mexican-themed beer that would pair well with food such as tacos or burritos.
Serving type: on-tap
