A bit strong and harsh, but a pleasant aftertaste. Tastes like fresh fruit. Love the haze and this one is good as well. I feel the warmth and pleasure of the brew.

Can dated 01/15/18 into an imperial pint glass.
L: Pours murky white yellow with 2+ fingers of low-medium density head with good retention and left spotted lacing.
S: Nice vibrant tropical nose, lots of papaya, mango and passionfruit. Subtle pine once it warms.
T: Mostly follows the nose but with the addition of grapefruit. Finishes with moderate bitterness and astringency, both linger on the palate a bit.
F: Medium bodied with low-medium carbonation, full on the tongue but not fluffy.
O: Really liked that this wasn't a one-dimensional juice bomb. Enjoyed the bitterness, provided nice accent to the tropical aspects. While I'm tiring of the hazy IPAs, the ones like this that bring some bitterness will happily find their way into my gut for my palate and preferences.

Can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass
A: Pours super hazy golden sandy yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves some nice lacing. One of the more intensely hazy beers I've seen from Alvarado Street
S: Big time tropical fruit, a little citrus, white grape, kinda got a little Fruity Pebbles thing going on, a touch of spicy pine, biscuity malt, and a candy like light caramel sweetness.
T: Opens with a little spicy pine, then settles into its fruity side, tropical, guava, pineapple, papaya, mango, peach, gooseberry, a hint of melon, and some white grape, citrus, grapefruit, lemon and tangerine zest, biscuity malt, and a candy like light caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Fun combo of some southern hemisphere hops with a killer name.

Canned 9/25/18
L: Pours a gorgeous vibrant yellow in color with evident haze. Formed a bubbly fingers width of a cap which dissipated quickly. No lacing on the glass, but I love this color in NEIPAs.
S: Tropical fruit heavy. Pomegranate, mango, papaya, passionfruit and guava all present on the nose. Yeast also slightly present with grassy/pine presence.
T: Follows the nose with more emphasis on citrus. Mango, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, and pomegranate all present on the flavor. Yeasty bready properties as well that is in residual flavor. Slightly bitter and piney finish.
F: Soft and medium bodied. Carbonation is balanced very well. Slight fizz properties.
O: Very enjoyable. I love the look, smell and flavor. I also appreciate the fact that its 7% abv. I would drink again, and I am glad to have tried. Cheers!

Received from @Bum4ever in NBS BIF #8. Reviewed 10/9/18. Thanks Josh!
16 oz can dated 09/25/18 on the bottom. Stored upside-down at 42 degrees and served at 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Light yellow, hazy and opaque. Looks like Donald Duck orange juice.
Head – Average (Maximum 3.5 cm, controlled center pour), white, low density, fizzy, average retention, diminishing to an irregular six to eight mm ring fueled by effervescence and a layer like pond scum. Second pour produces a much smaller and denser head.
Lacing – None.
First pour – Light yellow, hazy.
Aroma – 4 – Juicy with a bit of pine.
Flavor – 4 – Begins with slightly bitter generic juiciness, kind of like a mixture of orange and mango you’d get at a European hotel. Both taste and bitterness are fleeting. No malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 – Medium, watery, lively carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4 – It’s turtles all the way down. This is a good IPA but not spectacular. Or maybe it is, and Josh has just spoiled me with the selection of IPAs he’s sent this BIF.

Update 9/22/19 - Improved flavor and feel.

Canned 9/25/18, consumed 10/3/18
L: Completely hazy and cloudy straw color, small head, little lacing.
A: Terrifically strong & pungent tropical fruits with dank hoppy notes. Wish more hazies' aroma were at this strength level.
T: Hmm, more of a nice but basic juicy tropical fruits/peels flavor.
F: Medium, smooth & soft, a bit of bitterness, dry finish.
