Tribute to the 1998 teen/buddy classic, Meet the Deedles. This yeast driven IPA has a totally radical hop bill that includes Denali, Cascade, and Mosaic. Peachy, stone-fruit like esters from the yeast combine with the citrus and under ripe melon flavors of the hops to create a mega stellar brew.

This was the 5th beer I had at the inaugural hazy ipa festival on April 14, 2018 at the Bistro (during the 21st annual ipa festival).
Golden/yellow kind of color with a leaning brighter side of color with plenty of haze. Compared to the other hazy beers I had that day, this one looked more inviting than most. 1/3" white head. Aroma was a moderate amount of peach, papaya and bitter tree hopping. Seems like Mosaic was the dry hop.
The beer takes on a welcome older school bitterness from the Cascade and Denali hops. Well placed. I'm really finding that my preferred "sweet" spot if you will is for some Cascade hops mixed with proprietary like Citra and Mosaic. This hits that spot pretty well. Grapefruit and a little bit of tropical. Its a pretty good beer.
So what's the problem? Well, Alvarado is generally $4-6 per can. There's plenty of examples of great ipas for under $2 a serving. If you're gonna go to price extremes, there better be a reason in terms of quality.

This pours a moderately hazy golden color with little foam. I get more of a vivid aroma on this with some pineapple and tangerine notes sneaking through. Similar yeast profile as what I experienced in other Alvarado beers, with that hint of tartness more than bitterness. Mixed bag here.

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy golden yellow body, slight copper hue, one finger thick white head, good retention, bit of lacing. Smell is squeezed oranges, a bit of lemon, grapefruit sweetness, light caramel. Balanced, but not a whole lot of strength behind it, if that makes sense. Flavour is fairly bitter grapefruit, floral and zesty, a bit of citrus sweetness, mild caramel and grainy sweetness. Moderate grapefruit zest bitterness on the backend. Medium body, appropriate carbonation, smooth with zesty bitterness on the backend and a touch of slight booze. Nothing too crazy, fair bit of hoppy character balanced out by the malt.

Canned 3/27/18, consumed 4/6/18
L: Uniformly hazy & cloudy with a small head that left okay lacing.
A: Stonefruits with a little bit of citrus notes as well. Nice.
T: Zesty, full stone and citrus fruits here. Get a very little bit of sweet malt as well as a trace of the booze. Also a little bit of dank hops. I'd have to favor the aroma over the taste.
F: Medium, high carbonation, smooth, solid but not overbearing bitterness.
O: A nice NEIPA style beer from ASB. A little more danky and bitter rather than smoothie and pillowy like many of this style.

A: Lots of hops with aromas of citrus and stone fruit, coupled with general fruitiness.

T: Lots of hops with citrus and melon, followed by a general fruitiness and faint malt sweetness and slight hop bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, juicy with a smooth mouth-feel.
O: Tasty; the beer has a great juicy character and lots of hop aroma and flavor that complements the fruity yeast well.
