16oz can, served in a willi becher glass. Pours a clear golden straw yellow body, two finger effervescent white head, good retention, not much lacing. Smell is rich crackery grain, bread, and a huge whiff of grapefruit with a bit of caramel. If it didn't say lager on the can, I would have said this was an IPA. It certainly tastes like one, except maybe there is a bit of crackery bread, biscuit and honey character to it. In my mind, this really detracts from even the American Pale Lager category, though this is certainly a pleasant hoppy experience. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, crisp and refreshing, a moderate bitter hop bite on the backend. Jarring to be honest, but altogether an interesting drinking experience.
