Dude, Where’s my Haze?

Haven't reviewed in a while, but this one deserved it for running counter to the current NE style haze trend. Crystal clear bright orange color with half a finger of head off draft. Head disappears pretty quickly, but some good lacing as the beer level drops. Nose is sweet citrus and tropical fruit bowl, with a hint of herbaceous dankness to remind you this isn't juice. Taste is a well balanced combination of tangerine, passion fruit, pineapple and leafy green bitterness, with just enough malt sweetness to keep the bittering in check. Nice medium mouthfeel, slick but not too creamy, with a smooth and ample small bubble carbonation to help keep the tongue refreshed on each sip. Great beer from Alvarado Street, and better than the recent batch of Contains No Juice that I had right before (which was also quite good).
