Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co.
Collaboration Double IPA with some of our heroes in the beer industry, NYC's Other Half Brewing. Slice Joint is incredibly soft & fruity on the palate. Utilizing an expressive yeast and a combination of oats and hard red wheat from Oregon, it's pillow-y mouthfeel is supported by pineapple & passion fruit notes picked up during fermentation and a dry hop consistenting of Mosaic, Idaho 7, El Dorado & Denali.

Slice Joint pours a murky, dark yellow with a medium, 1-finger head that quickly fades away leaving almost no lacing (old can?). Smell is pure juiciness; tropical, citrus and stone fruit dominated by pineapple and peach with a hint of hops. The taste had a big fruit flavor, yet mellow with a hint of floral notes. Not hopped up of alcohol hotness, very smooth.

Canned 4/16/18.
Look: Dark murky yellow in color. Evident haze. About a fingers worth of head from a simple pour. Moderate amounts of lacing.
Smell: Full of tropical, citrus and stone fruit aromas. The tropical is most prominent, with papaya, passionfruit and pineapple being abundant. Peach and apricot are also detected, followed by some orange, tangerine, and grapefruit.
Taste: Nice fruit flavor, with slight hop presence. Flavors of pineapple, peach, mango, orange, lemon and grapefruit, with a nice grassy/floral hop presence. As I drink more of the beer, I am able to distinguish the alcohol slightly, but it isn't off-putting. There is an evident sweetness to the beer which also gets more pronounced as I sip on it.
Feel: Medium in body and weight, with low carbonation. The beer is soft and borderline pillowy. Smooth, and easy to drink.
Overall: This beer is very enjoyable. I like the fruit flavor and mild hop presence. It is very tasty and easy to drink. I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!
