A fresh, juicy ode to the Salad Bowl of the World...aka Salinas, CA. Peach and apricot forward ester profile from a colorful yeast strain, further augmented by a dry-hop round of El Dorado, Amarillo, Citra and Nugget.

Canned 09/17/18
Appearance - Pours mostly clear and golden yellow in color with an off-white, near finger width head. Fair retention before dying down to a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell -
Taste - A blast of orange and tangerine citrus flavor upfront and throughout. Underlying caramel and seemingly residual sugary sweetness. A touch of pineapple. Finishes with mild citrus zing and that underlying sweetness.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick texture before a lightly creamy finish.
Overall - Pretty simple flavor profile, but effective. Really none of the bitterness you'd expect in an IPA; might be a good once to introduce a newbie to, but I can certainly see why this could turn off some hopheads.

Darker golden copper body. Citrus, a bit of pine, leafy resin, moderate citrus, a bit of white sugar, odd yeasty ester profile. Mildly astringent, a bit muddled, lighter in body with a moderately bitter and astringent finish. Not my favourite from Alvarado Street.
