Our follow up collaboration to International-style Juice brewed at Reuben’s in May 2017. This Imperial version presents all the glorious Mosaic, Citra & Amarillo oily goodness in tandem with afruity fermentation courtesy of an expressive yeast strain.

Enjoyed at the three week mark. 2020 edition.
Hazy, but not excessively so. Wonderful cap of foam. Great expressive aroma, even from opening the can. Dank, weedy notes, with some pineapple and pine sap thrown in. The sip has a drying finish, with more pineapple and pine sap along with an earthy hop character and a candied orange kiss at the end.

Can from lupulo Santa Cruz.
~2 wks old
L: hazy orange but not OJ thick. with soapy foam. Lace with retention.
S: mango, stonefruit.
T: Mango, cantaloupe, pineapple, dank. No booziness. A little pine on the burps/aftertastes.
F: juicy.
Overall: Alvarado just does it a little too sweet/juicy/danky for my personal preference. I get it, but it’s not my perfect ipa and/or neipa preference. I do appreciate the work involved.

L: Very hazy, juicy amber/orange color, one finger white head, ok lacing, loads of carbonation.

S: Tropical fruits, hoppy, juicy.

T: Tropical fruits, hoppy, juicy, fresh. Basically, a superb NEIPA.

F: Medium bodied, full flavored.

O: A world class NEIPA.

This one was a bit of a sleeper. After having had contains no juice the week before, I didn't think this would be on that level, but I was wrong. This was a juice bomb!

So smooth without hardly any bitterness. Oranges, Kiwi, Pineapple dominate the palate with zero alcohol.

Very tropical taste and oh so smooth.

I went back to the bottle shop the next day, but all gone.

Orange juice hazy appearance.

Mouthfeel is excellent. Full bodied.

Excellent beer, but looks like a once a year release collab with Reubens Brews. I'll be on the lookout for this one and next time, stock up on it. Every bit as good as contains no juice but doesn't get the credit it deserves. This batch was excellent.

Canned 4/1/19
L: Bright yellow with hazy complexion. Totally opaque, zero clarity. About a finger of head that didn't stick around for the party. Bar-none lacing.
S: Yeasty on the nose, typical of ASB offerings. Other aromas of melon, citrus, flowers and pineapple also detectible. As I get acclimated, the more fruit aromas are pronounced.
T: Very tasty. Tons of juice with zesty citrus, bubble gum and tropical fruit flavors with a solid crackery yeast foundation. Tons of pithy citrus initially but finishes hoppy with mild pine resin. I am really liking this beer.
F: Medium in body, light to medium in weight. Has a nice texture to it, and it flirts on the border of creamy. Carbonation is appropriately done.
O: A really tasty brew, and one that I would revisit again. I am very glad to try. Cheers!

Sweet, tropical hoppy, orange/tangerine citrus, and hint of dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet orange citrus and dank bitterness on the swallow. This is thin for a double IMO, but still flavorful and enjoyable to drink! Good!

L: Uniformly hazy & cloudy dirty straw for with a small head that left very little lacing.

S: Very bright, tangy citrus & tropical fruit notes, some floral & danky hop notes as well. Terrific.

T: Full, zesty flavor that follows the aroma, fruitiness up front followed by a bit of dankiness. Again sooooo good.

F: Medium, smooth but not creamy, no real bitterness, alcohol very well contained.

O: Yet another terrific hazy from ASB. They consistently put out the top examples of the style around here and this is no exception.
