Collaboration with Mumford Brewing

Collaboration Double IPA with good homie, Peter Mumford of Mumford Brewing. A blend of expressive yeasts for fermentation coupled with a heavy DDH dosing of Nelson, Citra, Idaho 7 & Ekuanot hops brings the juice!!

Canned 11/13/18.
L: Pours hazy bright yellow in color. Frankly, it is my favorite color for beers in the New England style. Completely hazy and murky with zero clarity. No head was formed on this beer, and subsequently, no lacing is left on glass. My rating reflects my admiration for the color.
S: Initially I smell pineapple with loads of citrus. There is a crackery/yeast presence on the nose as well, which is a regular occurrence in ASB NEIPAs.
T: Very citrus forward. Loads of grapefruit and orange with a lemony hoppy semi-dry finish. There is an evident bitterness of the finish that eventually translates into the aftertaste. As I sit here, there are some peachy/apricot residual flavors as well. Yeast also prevalent in the flavor.
F: Quite nice feel. Medium bodied and weight. Carbonation is slightly higher than my preference, but it doesn't inhibit this beer in anyway.
O: A flavorful beer that is a welcomed addition to my portfolio. I am glad to have tried. Cheers!

Pours murky bright yellow, with very little head, even on an aggressive pour. Almost no head retention, and no lacing on the glass. A Smell is a really bitter citrus and a tiny bit of yeast. Nelson hops dominate the taste, but not to the effect of full-on nelson NEIPAS. Citra notes are also apparent, with some extra stuff that I'm going to attribute to Idaho 7 and Equinox (or Eukanot or whatever it's called now). The Equinox bitterness is quite present on the back end. Great feel with a medium body, slightly above-average carbonation, and no apparent alcohol.

A very solid NE DIPA from Alvarado. Again, I'm not noticing as much of a yeast presence in the taste like I used to with their beers; this is a good thing. Hmm. You know it's a good beer when the biggest place I can knock it down is it's head retention.
