The Ginger Juice comes with a murky, bright yellow body. An aggressive pour yields about 3/4 fingers of head, though I have to mention that this is a really wide glass. There is no head retention — the non-uniform white head dissipates almost immediately (sort of like Coca-Cola in from the soda machine). The is not lacing either. Lots of ginger on the nose. It is for sure the dominating flavor. If I'm honest, I'm not getting much else. On the taste, this is a lot more balanced. Yes, ginger is here, but there are definite peach notes, and something extra that I can't quite describe. In terms of feel, this is your typical kettle sour: medium to high carbonation, light body, no apparent alcohol. I will say, this is a pleasant kettle sour to drink. I've been worried about the ginger flavor in this, and although Ginger Juice is far from Alvarado's best, it's quite enjoyable.

L: Pours hazy yellow in color. From a non-aggressive pour, a tightly bubbled fingers-width cap formed that dissipated rapidly. No lacing on glass. Color is appealing.
S: So. Much. Ginger. Ginger dominates the aromas. Not picking up on much peach, but it comes out a little bit more as it warms. I am also getting some spice aromas on the nose, mostly consisting of nutmeg and cinnamon. I actually think it smells fantastic.
T: Ginger bomb. Ginger through and through. After taste is herbally with the spice that was detected in the aroma, tasting mostly like nutmeg. I do wish the peach was more prominent. I am getting some peach resembling flavor in the aftertaste, but I just wish it was more pronounced. There is a definite salinity to the beer as well, which I am enjoying.
F: Light bodied and thin. Carbonation is moderate to high. Slight fizz property on the tongue.
O: I enjoyed it. It isn't everyday that you have a ginger kettle sour. If ASB cranked up the peach and filled out the mouthfeel, this would be stellar. I am very much enjoying it though, and I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!
