Pours murky bright yellow, with not much of a cap, which also dies quickly. No lacing left on the glass. This is a common theme for Alvarado St. milkshake IPAs. Smell quite forward and reminiscent of sweet oranges. No lactose, and very little yeast on the nose (good!).
Again, I'm not usually a fan of such IPAs, but this tastes awesome. It's one of the juiciest beers I've had to date, and sort of reminds out of Galaxy-hopped Monkish releases, even though only Mosaic has been used here. There's a bit of hop burn on the back end, but I'm weird and enjoy that in beers. Yeast is slightly apparent, as is milk sugar, but both take minor roles. The body is smooth, creamy, mediumly carbonated. Alcohol is very well hidden.
I'm actually pleased with this buy, though I was skeptical initially. This is a real juice bomb, and I don't think I could drink several in a row. In a moderate amount of one can, however, it is awesome.

Hazy golden straw with minimal head, juicy nose, nice full grapefruit flavor and oaty mouthfeel... that finishes with an annoying throat tickle like a cheap vaporizer. I mean a really weird finish, that I assume is brought about by the lump of milk sugar.
Whenever I puff from a volcano, I like a juice chaser (blueberry juice or some Kern's guava nectar in an ideal world)... this beer is kinda the same.
