For this batch we recirculated sweet orange and cacao nibs for three days to give you crazy intense dark chocolate and Grand Marnier-like citrus notes.

Had on tapped and liked it. I've heard it is even better from the can, so let us see.
L: Dark, deep brown and near black in appearance. It pours viscous and heavy, leaving minimal in terms of head and lacing.
S: Even cold it smells great. The vanilla and chocolate really shines, with notes of marshmallow, molasses and roasted malts. The more I shove my nose in, the more I get a slight tinge of orange/tangerine aromas that come through, really pulling the smell together.
T: Really darn good. As I said above, I am drinking it while it is cool, and at the rate I am going, there won't be much left by the time it is at room temperature. ASB states it is brewed with cacao nibs, vanilla and sweet oranges, and they are all there. The first thing I notice that stands out more from the can is the levels of detectible chocolate and orange. It is fudgy with bold remnants of vanilla at the finish. The orange is noticeable at the finish and translates to the aftertaste, with burps that literally taste like orange, as gross as that may sound. All three flavors are there and claiming their stake this go around.
F: Good feel to match. Medium in body with a medium to heavy weight, leaning more on the medium side. It isn't as viscous and full as I would have thought, but I am not let down by any means. Moderate carbonation with total booze concealment.
O: It was good on tap and it is taking names from the can. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am glad that I bought a can, and I am kind of bummed I didn't purchase more. Anyways, if you get the chance, try it. As always, I am very glad to try. Cheers!

Original rating: 4.15 based on-tap consumption.
Updated rating: 4.3 based on the canned version.

While chocolate and vanilla are missing on tap, canned consumption brings out the chocolate, which then mashes beautifully with the sweet orange notes. Feel and smell and not mindblowing but solid, dominated by oranges and cocoa. Vanilla is not there, even in the canned version, otherwise, this would be 4.5+ on the Taste. Solid overall, and definitely a worthy purchase.
