Collaboration with Burial Beer Co. & Other Half Brewing Co.
Lot to say here. First, it's a collaboration Pilsner with our friends from Burial Beer and Other Half Brewing. Just a really simple Italian-style New Zealand Pilsner! We started with a base of Eraclea barley grown near the Adriatic sea in Italy, known for it's honey-like aromatics. Then, in the Italian-style Pilsner tradition, employed some traditional Noble hops that included whole cone Tettnang and Saphir in both the dry hop and boil. Thennnnn hit the dry hop again with some of our New Zealand favorites: Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Wakatu. What you get is a combination of floral, perfumey notes mixed with elegant, white wine-like aromas of gooseberry and lychee. All in a crisp, compact little beer that will COOL YOU DOWN.

L: Pours light straw yellow in appearance with perfectly clear appearance. No head from the pour with bar-none lacing.
S: Grainy with hints of lemon, black pepper and coriander.
T: Very southern hemisphere in flavor, with big flavors of earthy dankness. Tons of citrus with grainy foundation. Simple and easy taste-wise with more orange and citrus flavor the more I drink it.
F: Light in weight, seemingly heavier in body. Low carbonation for what it is, nice feel and smooth to drink with crisp finish.
O: I am enjoying it, and it is tasting splendid on this warm day. Somewhat high standards going into it given the collab between Alvarado Street, Burial and Other Half, and it came out on top. Not sure what an Italian-style New Zealand pilsner is, but I would drink again. I am very glad to try. Cheers!
