In this beer we've focused on extracting high levels of geraniol & linalool, monoterpenes present in the natural oils of hops which contribute much of the aroma and flavor we all crave in IPA. We’ve employed a hybrid ale / lager strain to assist with biotransformation of said monoterpenes into other types for added aroma and complexity. We’re picking up intense floral notes of geranium & jasmine in this beer, along with grapefruit, pomelo and passionfruit. Dry hopped according to oil profile with both cryo & pellet forms of Simcoe, Ekuanot & Loral.

One of the best hazes out there with a subtle floral and citrus presence both on the nose and palate. The lingering yeasty dry finish is spot-on. A bit of a splurge, but well worth it.

L: Hazy yellow with zero transparency. About a finger of a loosely packed head yielded from the pour with quick dissipation. Lacing is on the minimal side as well. Still, I love the color of ASB hazies.
S: Very fruity and tropical on the nose. Pineapple, orange, mango and berry all come to mind with hints of pomegranate and grass. Classic yeast presence is detectible on the nose, but not as overpowering as is the case with other ASB offerings.
T: Delicious, simply delicious. Huge flavors of grapefruit, tangerine and orange initially, followed by flavors of peach and apricot. Towards the finish, a very floral-forward flavor hits the palate that seems to round out the sweetness, meshing nicely with the crackery yeast flavor. After taste is sweet with lingering notes of lemongrass, citrus and yeast.
F: Medium in body and medium in weight. Carbonation is on the moderate side. Minimal booze presence.
O: No surprise, yet another enjoyable offering from ASB. I didn't think much about this one coming into it, and I enjoyed it far more than anticipated. I am very glad to try, and I totally recommend. Cheers!

A subdued, sweet tropical, slightly yeasty, hoppy nose on this one. The aromatics don't pop out at you...but the taste and mouthfeel make up for it big time! The taste follows the nose with a wonderfully soft feel...feels great on the palate. Initially, the hoppy bitterness starts out muted, but then towards the end of the swallow it let's you know it's there. The only thing missing for my palate was a little more depth...it's not as full bodied as I would like for a DIPA. Still...Good Stuff!
