Inspired by the balance and session-ability of some larger craft brewers' interpretations of Hazy IPA, we decided to make a dry, more "relaxed" version of some of our juicy IPA's...by showing a bit of restraint! We wanted a hazy IPA that's incredibly drinkable, low in alcohol, and doesn't murder your palate so you can throw a few back...an everyday hazy IPA if you will. Still plenty of fruity hop expression thanks to Cashmere, Idaho 7 and Mosaic hops used throughout the process.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that hangs around like meringue, slowly settling to a dense layer, and leaving
S: Mix of tropical and stone fruit, melon, light citrus, biscuity malt, and a little caramels sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, apricot and papaya lead the way, melon, white grape, a little pineapple and passion fruit, light citrus, lemon lime, sweet grapefruit, and orange, a little pine, faintly woody and grainy, biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Really unique flavor profile going on here. Pretty easy drinking.

L: Dull grain yellow in color with a slightly unfiltered appearance. About a finger of a bubbly white head that retained nicely with lower end of moderate amounts of lacing.
S: Smells tropical and grassy. Pineapple, lemon, grass and yeast all on the nose, with none seemingly standing out more than the other.
T: Really good. Loads of pineapple. It reminds me of pineapple mai tai in a sense. Pineapple, lemon and grass with hints of grass, pine and, as strange as it may seem, coconut. Very slight yeast presence at the finish.
F: Light in body and light to medium in weight. Moderate carbonation with no booze.
O: very enjoyable and very aptly named. It is flavorful and more importantly, enjoyable. I am very glad to try. Cheers!

Takes a bit on the green side, will formally review in a week or two. Very nice nose, papaya, nectarine, white peach, and subtle citrus. Definitely on the thin side for mouthfeel.
With some age on it, there's now plenty of Nelson elements showing, but from where (Cashmere hops?). Berries also on the nose now, and white grape and berries on the taste to complement the other earlier noted tropical aspects. Guess some of that could be Mosaic. Will do formal review with my final can, but this beer evolved substantially from my first taste. Very nice,

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
