A name that's all about what we preach; the fresher the better when it comes to hoppy beer. This "Westy" is no exception, and it's brewed with one of the most elusive hops out there - Riwaka from New Zealand. Known for it's sauvignon blanc-like tropical bouquet with a bit of sticky diesel, we've paired it up with freshly harvested, super punchy 2019 Strata from Oregon.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, floral, herbal pine, light zesty citrus and tropical fruit, biscuity malt, and a touch of sweetness.
T: Floral, grassy, herbal, a little pine, zesty citrus, grapefruit and lemon, underlying tropical fruit, passion fruit, apricot, peach, strawberry, and a hint of melon, crackery biscuity malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Nice to see a fresh hop beer with a fun hop combo like this. Solid!
