An ode to our beautiful state. Bursting with tropical & ripe citrus aromatics from a heavy handed dose of Citra and Idaho 7 hops, it finishes very dry and is just a tad bitter. And at 6%, it’s pretty much everything we want in the style.

Can from Lupulo Santa Cruz. Roughly 2 wks old. Inscribed “California Dreamin”.
Look: fairly light clear copper, fluffy head.
Smell: Dank, grass, citrus, nectarines.
Taste: Really all the same as smells. Fair to mild bitterness.
Feel: pretty slick and dry.
Overall: solid ipa. I guess it’s wcipa, but softer in the bitter department than traditional. Very pleasant.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours slightly hazy golden straw yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, floral, zesty citrus, tropical fruit, spicy pine, slightly herbal, crackery malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
T: Herbal, spicy pine, kinda earthy, floral notes, zesty citrus, lemon, lime, and tangerine, tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, apricot, papaya, mango, crackery malt, and the faintest touch of sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate yet slightly prickly carbonation.
O: Not bad for the style, but I'm really not that into some of the flavors from the Idaho 7 hops.

Pours a clear pale yellow with fine, soapy head.
Smell is crisp and citrusy with notes of lime zest, pine and some floral hoppiness.
Taste is crisp and quite light, with notes of citrus, pine and both floral and herbal elements. Fairly light bitterness, very refreshing and easy o drink.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a light, drinkable west coast IPA.

A very solid and tasty old school low ABV west coast IPA. Great beer is great beer, doesn't have to be hazebro to qualify.

Fins & Faultlines pours a very light, golden, straw yellow with a loose knit and foamy, 1-finger head. The smell has a slight dank aroma with citrus and a hint of grass. The taste is upfront West Coast bitterness that's sticky, yet clean underlying citrus and tropicals with some stone fruit.
