Who's ready for some 100% Citra hopped juice?! Our hand selected, uber-fresh 2019 crop from Perrault Farms in Yakima, Washington is finally here, and we couldn't be happier with how the Citra is this year. We get heavy aromatics of tangerine oil, ripe passion fruit and a touch of dankness that shine bright with our "Baby!" series treatment.

Very good head production; retention is relatively poor, however, and leaves behind very little lacing. The body is hazy - nearly opaque - and lemon-yellow.
Lovely hop-forward nose, immediately screaming all of the best qualities of Citra: tangerine, grapefruit, pepper, bright leafy green herbs, mild-to-moderate dankness, papaya, peach, kiwi.
Nearly just as juicy on the palate, and as is classic with Citra, the dominance of the citrus versus tropical fruit is reversed from the nose to the palate. Nearly as much body and creaminess as an imperial. Moderate dankness, carrying with it a fairly strong hit of bitterness toward the finish - but low bitterness throughout most of the sip.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours super hazy golden yellow amber with a frothy cream white head that hangs around before slowly settling to a firm layer and leaving some nice lacing.
S: Intensely hoppy, green, grassy, slightly herbal, like sticking your face right in the bag, zesty citrus and a ton of ripe tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Big hit of tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, apricot, peach, a little pineapple, and a hint of guava and melon, zesty citrus, tangerine, lime, grapefruit, and lemon, grassy, faint slightly dank herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Full body, moderate carbonation, creamy soft on the palate, and a hint of hop burn, in a good way.
O: I drink a pretty fair amount of Alvarado Street beer and while it's all usually pretty good, this is a wow beer. The intensity of the hops is fantastic. Not many breweries that I've tried can hit this level, and they're probably right on that line where adding any more hops would only give it a burn. Even after kinda burning out on Citra heavy beers for a little bit this one is hitting all the right buttons for me.

Sweet, orange/tangerine citrus, dank, hoppy nose that has a hint of maltiness to it! Taste follows with subtle sweetness that turns into an orange citrus bitterness on the finish. This has a wonderfully soft mouthfeel to it and nice depth. If I am nitpicking, I wish it had a touch more "juiciness" to it. Other than that, this is great!

Nice addition to ASB's Baby! series. Got that orange/pineapple juice look, thick head & lots of lacing. Very nice Citra aroma & flavor that's just on the lighter side of the intensity scale. Best part is the incredibly soft, creamy, smooth feel that all hazies are hoping to achieve. Love this series and can't wait for more.
