Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours hazy strawberry blonde amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Floral, tropical fruit mixed with strawberry jam, a little citrus, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Took a second for my brain to figure out the big jammy strawberry up front, brings out a lot of tropical fruit, guava, passion fruit, and apricot, citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and a touch of grapefruit, floral, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderately lively carbonation.
O: I tried the mandarin orange variant just before this, and I gotta say, this variant is way better. The strawberry is a great addition, bringing its own flavor while not overwhelming the base beer, actually pulling out more from it. .
