They say beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder. And Grand Natty (Buick Regal Grand National GNX) flips the script from a luxurious, low-excitement coupe into a 1980’s icon with some serious muscle. Charged with Citra & Mosaic lupulin powder, and double dry hopped with Cashmere and more Citra, this is the first of our “Dad’s Dream Ridez” that’s West Coast in nature. Clear, clean & moderately bitter, it blurs the line of it’s juicy counterparts as it’s packed with dank, oily hop flavor.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a faint haze and frothy light beige head that settles to a firm layer and leaves some very nice lacing.
S: Almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit, spicy pine, a little citrus and melon, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Opens with ripe tropical and stone fruit, peach, papaya, apricot, melon, mango, and passion fruit, citrus, orange, lemon, and lime, some spicy pine, faint hints of coconut, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller end of medium body, moderate carbonation, kinda sticky.
O: This one hits me like an old school DIPA that's been softened up a little with some of Alvarado's new school flair. It's still got a pretty sturdy malt backbone (and plenty of sweetness), but the hops come through fairly soft and bring plenty of flavor. I'm not in love what the Cashmere hops contribute, but overall this one is solid.
