On first pour, Three Men and a Hazy is reminiscent of a glass of freshly squeezed citrus juice. The light color and hazy opacity are exceptionally deceptive at hiding the adventure you are about to embark on as a deluge of New Zealand hops transport you to a remote island. The Nelson, Galaxy and Taiheke hops impart notes of citrus and a subtle wine flavor that ride across your tongue like a wave as the earthy hop aroma crashes at the back of your tongue taking you back to shore. For a beer with 8% abv, this wave of flavor does wonders for masking the taste of imperial alcohol content and was brewed by a group of gentleman that must have found the long fabled Elysian Fields for such a fresh hop and malt profile. This ale felt a bit over carbonated, but after a quick spin in the glass the aroma and flavor were accentuated with the cloud-like mouthfeel synonymous with New England style IPAs. Alvarado Street Brewing is renowned for their unique flavor profiles and this did not disappoint. Previous to this beer I was not familiar with Other Brother Brewing, but this collaboration speaks volumes of their talents and I look forward to more of their beer in the future. Cheers!

Sweet, white wine grape, tropical hoppy, and hint of dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a nelson hop forward, fruity-tropical hoppy, and dank finish. Some citrus notes are there on the backend, but they are subtle. This feels really good on the palate...it has a softness to it. This is good!
