Collaboration with Cellarmaker
A juicy pale ale fermented with a neutral strain and a smattering of the finest Nelson, Galaxy & Citra lots we could get our hands on. Follow up to Big Lots from a ways back.

Let's just drop back to back Alvarado pale reviews from late 2020 shall we? This was the slightly better one.
Pours another cloudy, hazy pale ale yellow, but with bigger, 3/5" loose bubbled white head. Appearance is the low point for this beer. The nose is nice, Citra and Nelson do the heavy lifting with Galaxy as the spotter. And you won't even feel the burn. The usual requisite descriptors of sweet citrus and dank tropical fruit. Tangerine, pineapple, weed and the like.
Taste comes about in a similar manner. When you deal with hazy pale ales, there is always the danger some double barrel thimble drinker says its watery, and this invites such disdain. Its just a mild, wet, minimal kind of flaked body. You go into it knowing that, its a pale ale. Its like complaining a stout has roasted malt. Body isn't the beer's strong suit, the hops are. Still good enough, and stuff like this was meant more for warmer times I was thinking. Sawft carbonation. I'd be ok with a tad more carb and bittering hops.

A solid (if not subdued) pale ale from them. Low alcohol content, low hop profile. A little bit citrusy on the tongue. Not my favorite from them but not bad.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Mix of classic Nelson hops with strong citrus and some tropical and stone fruit, a bit grassy, all held together with biscuity malt and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Citrus takes the lead, grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon lime, followed by white grape, tropical, and stone fruit, passion fruit, peach, apricot, gooseberry, and a hint of papaya and melon, a bit grassy, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
M: Just a touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: One of those collaborations where you can taste the influence from each brewery. More citrus than I was expecting, but I'm ok with that. Hopefully they'll re-brew the original, because I'd love to see this one amped up.

This one's a keeper. When two brewing heavyweights get together you know you're in for a treat and this doesn't disappoint. Pours out perfectly looks mouthwatering. Hits the tongue with amazing flavors of juicy citrus. Super smooth and goes down too easily.

Fresh can from a Lupulo Santa Cruz.
About a week old.
Light yellow cloudy appearance. Fluffy white head.
Smell of melon, lemons, dank, wine, and pine.
Tastes like melons and lemons and grapefruit. Some weedy dank, some vinous notes. More fruity than bitter.
Medium bodied, fairly dry.
Very drinkable and balanced.
It reminds me of the parts I like about both breweries involved.
