All the babies combined into one enormous Double IPA, OOZING with the finest Nelson Sauvin, Citra & Galaxy hops on the planet. There's so much going on with the aroma in this beer we're not even going to share our tasting notes, it's like an everlasting gobstopper - changes every 5 minutes! We're particularly proud of the body of this beer, it has an insanely creamy texture and presents a cool whip head of foam that cakes onto the glass.

Can dated 04/20/2022 into a Willi Belcher glass.

Very Nelson diesel heavy on the nose. Other hops more prevalent on the taste, but flavors really muddled. Mouthfeel was thinner than desired.

Good, but nothing mind-blowing for my palate and preferences. Seems to suffer from diesel profile dominance of this crop of Nelson, which is undesirable. If it had more gooseberry and white grape elements think it would've paired better rather than fighting to overpower the Citra and Galaxy.

Alvarado always makes great double IPAs, this is no exception. Its called triplets because of the three different hops but Galaxy def dominates the flavor. I'm a fan of Galaxy hops so this hits the spot for me. To me this is a near perfect double IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and carbonated. You can't taste the ethanol. Flavor starts with sweet citrus then hits you with a ton of hop flavor. Its amazing *chef's kiss*

Was pretty excited to come across this, on paper, sounds awesome. Execution, comes close.

Pours a hazy cloudy murk beige appearance, 2/5" white bubble head, poured into a really dirty Raiders glass that would make the internet beer community cry (which isn't saying much). The aroma is hittin' but not up to the names on paper, especially Nelson, the Citra and Galaxy seemed most prominent. There was plenty of citrus candied nose going on, and a light pineapple impression, but Nelson got lost for me, and that is a shame because its my favorite hop.

Taste seemed much the same, just so much more Galaxy and Citra influence than Nelson. Used equally, I would normally guess 33.3% Nelson is the most perceptible hop when the others are 33.3% as well. Not here though, so maybe we have a big equity split. Mostly orange and pineapple creamy smoothie style. Mouth feel doesn't have a crisp edge or barley body, flakey stuff going on, but it does excellent at burying the abv and bitterness. Good stuff no doubt, but I was hoping for world class.

Very cloudy golden color with a thick yet thin white head. Make sense? Nope. Still looks cool.

Fruity citrus scent with a bit of basement dank to it.

Grapefruit on the taste. Little bit of pine popping out. Some tropical fruit notes. Pretty balanced on the taste with the malts and the hops. Not too overly bitter.

Mouth is medium. Wet slick finish that pulls that bitterness down. Alcohol warming on the way down.

My overall impression is that I am pretty happy with this beer. Clear dating on the bottom of the 16 oz. can tells me this is only about two months old. I do not really like grapefruit. This is grapefruit forward and yet I enjoy it. Perhaps there is a bit of sweet balance to the grapefruit? The dankness on the smell goes into the taste. Not a huge fan of that. Mouth is a bit sweet and slick. Yet this really grows on me as I sip it and the thing warms. Note that the thickness can become a bit more as it warms. Seems to be sticky on my lips. Okay folks looks like these folks at this brewery did a good job. Thanks to all brew aficionados!!

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy pale beige head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely

S: Tropical and stone fruit, classic Nelson grape and gooseberry, citrus, diesel, pine, faint dank herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Really interesting mix going on, grapefruit, diesel, resinous pine, white grape, gooseberry, passion fruit, peach, apricot, lemon, lime, tangerine, mango, and pineapple, slight dank herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness. Somewhat assertive bitterness.

M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, but with a touch of hop burn.

O: I've had all 3 of the single hop "Baby" beers that went into this one so I my hopes were high. I hate to say it, but the pieces are greater than the sum. This just feels like there are too many flavors fighting for the lead, instead of coming together. Not bad a bad beer, but I expected more.

Sweet orange/tangerine citrus, white wine grape, pineapple tropical hoppy, and hint of dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a soft and juicy, trop-hoppy and grapefruit citrus bitter swallow. This is well-balanced between the three different hops...with a kick of booziness on the backend as it warms. This one wears it's 8.8% ABV on it's sleeve the warmer it gets, but this is a good one!

2022 Batch! (Ratings reflect this batch) Sweet tropical hoppy, white wine grape, and orange-grapefruit citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a Nelson forward, tropical hoppy, and hint of earthy citrus bitter finish. I love how the nelson notes are the first to show up in the aromatics and on the palate. This is well done and hides the big ABV well! And, I am hopeful and excited that ASB has been dialed in as of late on most of their hazies...especially the ones that contain Nelson!!! Outstanding!
