It's stout season friends!! And to celebrate we took our Nitro Milk Stout (Best Part of Waking Up) with coffee, cacao and vanilla, and cranked it up a notch. This double version is incredibly decadent with tons of milk chocolate character and strong notes of espresso. The tiny bubbles from nitro carbonation and rich vanilla pulls it all together with a creamy, velvety texture.

Nitro can poured hard into an Alvarado Street Brewery glass
A: Pour yields the classic nitro cascade, from light to dark brown, with a creamy khaki head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Roasty, smooth coffee, big chocolate and vanilla, earthy with a little light char, slightly nutty, and caramel sweetness.
T: Roasty, big milk chocolate, smooth coffee, vanilla, a little char, faint smoke, a bit nutty, and caramel sweetness, with just a touch of alcohol that can poke out as it warms.
M: Full body, mild carbonation, creamy smooth.
O: Spot on amped up version. Just like the original, I wouldn't mind the coffee taking more of the lead, as it can get a bit sweet, but it's a very enjoyable coffee milk stout.
