Collaboration with Green Cheek Beer Company
Since our good pal Cheeky seems to know ALL (the secrets), we had to reach to Green Cheek Beer and channel Cheeky’s haze game for this collaborative DDH Hazy Double IPA! These folks inspire us with every style of beer they make, and this is our first DIPA we’ve made together of the juicy variety. We’ve combined some of our favorite hops, including Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Simcoe & Strata along with raw wheat for a luscious, fully bodied texture.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Wave of Nelson, quick hit of dank herbal notes, followed by juicy tropical fruit, citrus, a little pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Big hit of Nelson, classic gooseberry and white grape, slowly gives way tropical and stone fruit, mango, peach, apricot, passion fruit, and guava, resinous pine, citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and grapefruit, dank herbal undertones, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Haven't had anything from Green Cheek, but always heard good things, so I had to snap up this collab. Really nice hop combo. The Nelson leaves its mark, but doesn't fully run away with things. Good stuff.

Sweet white wine grape, tropical hoppy, orange/tangerine citrus, and piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a balanced hoppy/grapefruit citrus/dank finish. I had this fresh and is was a little disjointed and unsettled...It has settled in nicely after a few weeks. This is soft on the palate and a good collab between the two breweries...they both added their own touch to this. This is good!
