I was expecting the barrel to be the star of the show after 40 months. The barrel character played well and nicely balanced the adjunct sweetness from the vanilla.

Aged for 40 months I expected a very strong barrel taste but the single vanilla adjunct really shined through. The vanilla smell was not overwhelming and it wasn’t too sweet at all. Really appreciated this easy drinking stout considering how long it had been aged.
