A spin on the Daiquiri Island series, Colada Island was born from a desire to teleport to the islands. This Imperial sour ale directly mimics a Piña Colada with both toasted & shaved coconut and heaps of pineapple, but further conditioned on fresh strawberry. Won’t exactly give you that red swirl in the glass but the entire composition is about as close as you can get in “beer” form.

Sweet and tart, strawberry-pineapple, and hint of coconut nose on this one! Taste follows with a slightly thin, but juicy, strawberry and pineapple juice tart swallow. The coconut is hidden for me here. For this to be Pina Colada inspired, this should have been a little sweeter and creamier and had a lot more coconut IMO. This is good, but lacks the mouthfeel and coconut that I was expecting.
