Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co.
mperial Sour Ale collaboration with Other Half Brewing. We combined elements of their Crunchee series with our Biggie’s Brunch series; the usual heavy dose of blueberry & vanilla, but conditioned with almonds, cinnamon, toasted coconut and maple syrup!

Thank you BartS for this
16 oz can, dated 1/14/21, poured into an oversized wine glass
A- Purple with a two finger pink head.
S- Blackberry, blueberries, some vanilla, touch of maple syrup, hints of coconut and cinnamon.
T- Slightly tart, blackberry jam, blueberries, cinnamon, vanilla, some maple syrup, hints of almonds and coconut.
M- Smooth, medium body.
O- More of a fruit smoothie beer instead of a kettle sour with fruit. Reminds me a lot of a blackberry crisp.

Appearance - Pours murky and is violet in color, with a pink, near finger width head that fizzes away like soda, leaving a barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Blueberry stands out on the nose, as well as cinnamon and a bit of milkiness.
Taste - Really sweet and sugary from first sip to the finish, with blueberry also quite dominant. Plenty of tartness as well, but this is more sweet than tart. Hints of the cinnamon and vanilla. Not really picking up any coconut. Definite sugary aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with fair carbonation. Sticky, sugary texture before turning dry in the finish.
Overall - It's good, but a bit too much "sugar" for my tastes. Wouldn't buy again, especially given the price. If there's toasted coconut in this, I'm not finding it.
