Bourbon barrel aged stout with vanilla, cacao nibs & coconut. Loosely inspired by "German" chocolate cake, this blend was drawn from three different bourbon barrels, aging from one year to over three years in oak. Treated with Mexican vanilla beans, cacao nibs & toasted coconut to complement the deep fudge, hazelnut & brownie batter character of the base blend.

Sweet and rich, dark chocolate fudgy, vanilla bourbon barrel, and hint of coconut nose on this one! Taste follows with thicc dark chocolate fudge upfront and then a boozy vanilla-coconut finish. As it warms, the bourbon barrel notes start to kick in! Also, a dark chocolate bitterness starts to dominate the back of the palate. If I had one complaint, it is I wish the coconut vibes were a little more large and in charge with this one. This is like German chocolate cake soaked in bourbon! This hides the huge ABV of 17.2% really, really well! That being said, this is really decadent and definitely a late night, take your time, sipper...especially if you are on #teamsolodome like me! Ha! This is great!
