We had a dream. A simple dream really; to find a tropical island paradise, settle into our favorite beach chair, and dive into a sweet, frosty glass of... sherbet. But every time we tried this our sherbet melted in the equatorial sunshine. So we made this sherbet-inspired sour ale instead with a mouthwatering blend of guava, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, & dragonfruit. It's bright, creamy, and lick-the-spoon delicious. No travel to the tropics required.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy tan head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Overflowing with ripe tropical fruit juice, mild lactic tartness, a hint of vanilla, and a little biscuity malt.
T: Juicy ripe tropical fruit abounds, mango, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, and even the typically subtle dragon fruit, all show up, mild lactic tartness, a touch of biscuity malt to hold it all together, and dare I say a hint of vanilla.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate with just enough carbonation bubbles and tartness to keep it from getting syrupy. That 8% is pretty much completely hidden.
O: This can might win the award for best job of hiding in my fridge, only to re-emerge at the perfect time. I don't think the extra time in the can had any ill effects on this one as it's drinking delightfully after a warm summer day. Reminds me of sipping POG juice with my toes in the Maui sand a few years ago. Hopefully this one comes back again so I can see if it's somehow even better fresh.
