Going all out with the stickiest, diesel-laced hop combo yet: New Zealand’s finest Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka & Waimea hops. Since partnering with Freestyle Hops, we can’t get enough of these Southern Hemisphere varieties which are loaded with free thiols — micro compounds that are responsible for all the funky passionfruit, over-ripe guava, grassy white wine and the signature “diesel” which can’t quite articulate but obsess over it’s complexity and depth. This Triple Hazy IPA is fortified with high protein hard red Oregon wheat, and has a solid foundation of bitterness to counter high alcohol sweetness. We’ve processed Turbid Diesel “raw” and withheld any form of filtration or centrifugation to convey the maximum impression of these cherished hops.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy pale khaki head that slowly settles to a firm layer and leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Lively citrus, ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, a bit grassy and resinous, floral notes, a faint hint of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Juicy mix of citrus, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, tangerine, passion fruit, guava, apricot, grapefruit, gooseberry, pineapple, lemon lime, mango, peach, and white grape, floral, a hint of Southern Hem diesel, slightly resinous and grassy, biscuity malt, and plenty of caramel sweetness.
M: Full body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, chewy, with a touch of hop burn as it warms. Alcohol is very well concealed.
O: I'm big on Southern Hem hops, but not usually crazy about TIPAs, but I had to give this one a try. Really glad I did. This can spent a couple weeks in the fridge before I had time to devote a night to it, but it held up beautifully. Not nearly as much diesel as I was expecting, just a ton of juicy fruit which is basically impossible to complain about. There's plenty of sweetness there, but overall it's very nicely balanced and holds its % incredibly well. Quite a charismatic monster, and not a runaway Nelson bomb.

Sweet tropical hoppy, grapefruit citrus, and Nelson hop dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet-tropical fruity and grapefruit citrus hoppy bitter finish...as it warms, that hoppy bitterness starts to linger more and more. For a #bigboibeer, this hides the ABV extremely well...and it weighs/feels nice on the palate. This is fantastic!
