Collaboration with Figueroa Mountain
What is Cold IPA? To find out, we put our heads together with some of the best lager makers in the game, Figueroa Mountain Brewing!
The result is a crisp, dry “IPA” fermented with clean lager yeast and a mix of new age hops along with some traditional Noble hops in the kettle. We’re getting floral vibes and fresh cut grass along with peach rings and fresh strawberry from biotransformation during fermentation. The addition of rice in the grist yields a lean body, making this incredibly easy to throw back.

Can dated 12/29/2021 "Burp Hops" into an imperial nonic pint glass.
L: Pours vibrant light golden with 1.5+ fingers of white medium-density frothy head with great retention and left limited mixed lacing.
S: Pleasant fragrant nose. Floral forward, then citrus, hints of earthiness.
T: More dimension than the nose. Citrus has greater prominence, as does the earthiness. Some hints of candied fruit. Finishes with mild to moderate bitterness and some astringency, drys the palate and lingers pleasantly.
F: Low-medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, dances on the tongue and slick on the swallow with crisp finish.
O: I've had a few Cold IPAs now, and I'd put this in the tier 2 category (good not great). I'd happily have this brew again, but wouldn't seek it out.
