For the eighth edition of our Anniversary Ale we've built a blend of three different "Motor Oil" batches that have aged in Heaven Hill, Joseph A. Magnus, and Jack Daniels barrels across 26-52 months. The layering of young and old barrels allows us to weave together a delightfully rich and decadent imperial stout that blossoms in your glass as it warms. Notes of dark, fruity cacao, medjool date, & fig jam gently melt into a fudge laden cascade of brûléed sugar, creamy vanilla, and toasted walnut with a warm and inviting finish. Cheers to eight years! Thank you for being on this journey with us.

Sweet dark chocolate, hint of dark fruits, and hint of vanilla-bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows with a rich, dark chocolate malty, raisiny-figs, and a well-integrated, bourbon barrel finish. At 15+% ABV, I was expecting the booziness to start to rear is ugly head as it warmed,...but, it actually got smoother as the beer opened up! It seemed as though the mouthfeel improved drastically as well...darn near perfect! This is fantastic!
