This new, SICK HAZE (Skaze) is chock full of one of our favorite hops: Waimea from our friends at Freestyle Farms. We really cranked up the haze factor on this one and the mouthfeel is downright lavish. It bursts with notes of mango, papaya, nectarine and pulpy orange juice. Hiding underneath, a dark berry and pine laden waft of diesel provides structure and complexity without blunting the exceptional fruit flavor expression. It's honestly a bit irresistible.

Opaque yellow, white foam.
Fruit, faintly guava.
Tea mostly, with something like watermelon, then apricot but not at all pronounced.
No bitter, no bite, very pillow.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer that hangs around and leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit, berry, citrus, slight grassy and floral notes, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical, papaya, apricot, peach, watermelon, passion fruit, mango, berries, and overripe pineapple, some citrus, orange, lime, lemon, and grapefruit, floral, slightly bready biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Super unique. Given my prior experience with this hop I was expecting more bright citrus, but they pulled out some really cool tropical notes.
