This Hazy DIPA was force fed a potent combination of Northern and Southern Hemisphere hops that ignite in the glass! A tropical explosion of ripe guava and mango, fresh pineapple/orange juice, and strawberry/watermelon candy is enriched by a floral, passionfruit saturated, dankness. Unfiltered and raw, it retains maximum juice density and a balanced, but irreverent bitterness. Hey, does that thing have a turbo?!

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Tropical and stone fruit, a little citrus, spicy resinous pine, fairly earthy, grassy, a touch floral, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness, with a touch of alcohol poking through as it warms.
T: A bit of everything going on, opens kinda like fruit punch, strawberry, apricot, peach, watermelon, mango, passion fruit, and pineapple, strong hit of resinous pine, earthy grassy notes, some zesty citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and orange, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderately prickly carbonation.
O: I muscled through a full pint and really tried to find something redeeming with this one, but it just doesn't come together in a cohesive way. There are some interesting fruity notes, but they're countered with a kinda harsh resinous bitterness, then a strong earthiness. It feels like there are too many things trying to take the lead, but none of them want to play nicely together. Easily my least favorite ASB creation to date. Let's just pretend this didn't happen and move on.

Sweet tropical fruity hoppy, earthy hoppy, and hint of orange-grapefruit citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a slightly thin and slightly muddled, earthy-citrus hoppy bitter finish. This is decent/drinkable...but, missing the mark IMO. The Idaho 7 addition added too much earthy/grassy notes...seemed to clash a bit with the other hops.
