Something copious. Something capacious. Something cajunga! A danker, more tropical sequel to our West coast IPA named after Duane, the owner of Bottoms Up Homebrew in Seaside, CA. This 8.5% West Coast Double IPA is even more massively dry hopped with New Zealand Nelson Sauvin, and American Citra hops! Lychee, gooseberry, and orange blossom set the stage for peach skin, currant, and citrus zest. Echoes of overripe tropical fruit and an earthy diesel dankness reverberate long after the finish. Nelson, Citra. Party time, excellent!

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer that hangs around and leaves some thick lacing.
S: Floral, white grape and gooseberry, slightly resinous, grassy, citrus, tropical and stone fruit, a little Southern Hem diesel, slightly bready biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Super floral, white grape, gooseberry, a bit resinous, grassy, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, lime, and tangerine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, apricot, peach, mango, pineapple, papaya, and melon, earthy herbal notes, a little Southern Hem diesel, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: Took me a while to wrap my palate around this one. Drinks like an intensely floral West Coast DIPA with a grassy and fruity undertones. That being said, I'm not in love with how the resinous side comes off kinda harsh at times, and I don't think either the Nelson or the Citra really shine. Sorry ASB, this sequel is a let down.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, hint of orange-tangerine citrus, and hint of Nelson-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a slightly malty, grapefruit citrus hoppy bitter finish. This is pretty good! The only disappointment is that the great hop combo didn't shine/exert itself enough...I think the maltiness here interferes with enjoying the hop presence.
