Danktoberfest is a showcase of potent, oil-rich hops, balanced with lightly kilned malt to welcome in the fall season. In ASB fashion, we gave it a mighty upgrade from years past with a striking and inviting pine forward dankness. This resinous, dangerously drinkable West Coast Double IPA has a potent and bright oily bitterness combined with floral highlights which linger in the off-dry finish, and primes the palate for the next immersive sip.

I had this realization that I needed to review this beer before I finished all four in the pack. It’s that good.
West coast style, lived up to its name with the dankest dankity dank of aromas. Oh, so, so good. The sip follows, with a moderate bitterness at the end. I absolutely LOVED this beer.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy pale tan head that settles to a firm layer and
S: Almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit quickly countered with earthy herbal notes, slightly dank, resinous pine, citrus, a touch floral, toasty bready malt, and a bit of honey and toffee sweetness. The nose reminds me of a TIPA.
T: Earthy, herbal, slightly dank, peppery spice, citrus, lemon and grapefruit, resinous pine, subtle underlying tropical and stone fruit, papaya, mango, peach, and apricot, floral notes, toasty bready malt, and a touch of dark caramel toffee sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation
O: Old school DIPA that kept giving me TIPA vibes, in a good way. Hits the spot on a cool fall evening.
