Itch'in for a good feed and a coupla frothies? How about an absolute West Coast ripper hopped exclusively with Nelson hops? You know it! Passion fruit, currant, stone fruit, preserves, and a wisp of Southern Hemisphere diesel roll out of the glass and carry through each thirst quenching sip. A touch of sweetness quickly fades, and then an elevated bitterness pulls you into the crisp, clean, finish, in vintage West Coast IPA style.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Zesty citrus, resinous pine, grassy, a touch of slightly dank Southern Hem diesel, classic gooseberry and white grape, some extra tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and just enough caramel sweetness to tie it all together.
T: Resinous, pine and zesty citrus, big grapefruit plus a touch of lime, classic gooseberry and white grape slowly emerge, followed by more tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, mango, apricot, pineapple, and a hint of what I can only describe as maybe starfruit, grassy notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, a bit chewy
O: I love that they released this and Double Nelson, Baby! at the same time. Two DIPAs using only Nelson, completely different, yet both excellent. This one is bright, crisp, and balanced. Delightfully drinkable and pushes all the buttons you want a Westy DIPA to push.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, white wine grape, and a piney, Nelson-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a clean and well-balanced, Nelson-hoppy and a piney bitter finish. I mean, this has just about everything I want in an all Nelson double westie! It is extremely crushable and enjoyable to drink. The only thing lacking to hang with the big boys is for the hop expression to be dialed up a notch or two. I was pleasantly surprised by this one! Delicious!
