What began as a daydream, carefully coalesced in a blend of pot still molasses rum barrel aged barleywines and a Wild Turkey bourbon barrel aged imperial stout, with heaps of toasted coconut, almonds, and a touch of vanilla to flavor a true confectionery delight. Bold notes of rum on the pour fade into a sea of macaroons and almond brittle, that open to expressive layers of rum soaked pound cake - holding true to a classic profile of dark fruits, cassia bark, and caramelized sugars. Truly paradise in a glass.

Dark chocolate covered toffee, oatmeal raisin cookies, nutty almond, a faint hint of coconut, and a subtle rum and bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with some sweet brown sugar and dark fruits upfront...and then a coconut rum, hint of vanilla-bourbon finish. As i warms, some sweet caramel notes come out more...as well as some sweet coconut vibes on the backend. Not the biggest fan of additions to my Lyfe, but this works here with this being a black barleywine. I took a chance as I have been disappointed by ASB and their BWs, but I am glad that I did! This one is delicious!
